3 easy steps to make own earrings

HI all ,
Today I am going to show you a very easy way to make your own earrings. The method so simple that you can make a  pair of earrings  under 15 mins ( or even less) if you are good in handling tools

I call it the bead ,hoop and link method

STep 1 : Take a head pin, based on the length of the head pin we can insert 1 to 3 or max 4 beads into the head pin .In the pic below i have used a head pin which can accomodate 3 beads.

Step 2 : Leave enough free length of the head pin such that we can make a loop .Use your jewelry pliers to bend the head pin (last free length bit) to a right angle .then holding the tip of the bent ,make the loop
as shown below

Step 3 :
Now link this dangling piece to a ear hook
as shown below

easy peasy ! isnt it!

There you go one easy way to make handmade jewelry .

This is the most common way and also more versatile to make handmade earrings .

Again inserting too many beads into single head pin may not be ideal too.

The same method can be used in various combination of bead types ,colors .The earrings made thus will look more grogeous whenever bead caps or metallic spacers are used.

I would love to add pics to this blog but i just havent had them ready. I will do it soon enough :)

Thanks

How to make "Hello" card

This is one of the simplest idea to make a card .All you need is :
1. Card stock (pre-cut card or card stock that is cut and folded)
2. One pattern paper with design, other darker shade pattern paper for background
3. Scissors ,glue and blings
4. Some glitter gel pens

I have used a white pre-cut card, hence my job became much easier when it came making the card itself
I have used a darker shade pattern paper for the background .This needs to be cut in the same shape of the card ,a bit smaller in measurements around 0.5 cms less on each side .
The pattern paper with design is cut in similar fashion ,smaller to background paper .

Paste the background paper first on the front of the card such that the sides sit in parallel to the card itself .Similarly paste the pattern paper on the background paper .

Stick the butterfly rhinestones and other blings to put some charm to the card.Use the gold glitter gel pens to outline the design .Use the green glitter gel pen to sketch the words "Hello" on the card.

Fresh water pearl bracelet

Hi All ,

I have been making only earrings and cards .I wanted to make something different for a change .

So I did this bracelet out of fresh water pearls . After quite a few attempts , I could get a good picture like this one

The speciality of this bracelet is that I have used crystal studded toggle clasps. I found that exclusive toggle clasps online .It was amazing find .That makes this bracelet more more attractive.

I have made a few more and still in process of getting a good picture of them. When I do get good pics ..I will share it here

Handmade Handdrawan cards

Hi all ,

I had been trying out something new lately ..to make hand drawn cards..
Yes ,I learnt online many many techniques of making handmade greeting cards .One of them said "draw!"

I started making some sketches and used water color pencils to get a good finish .I have used the flowers as my theme which is my favourite and finished the cards with some glitter .
This is how my cards have come .

I enjoyed making them .It was a purely simple idea but effective technique.Try it ..

Little Ms Sunshine

Hello again ..

I have been doing a lot of designing lately and trying to make some time to create those designs as well .
With the hectic days,I had very little time in which I was able to create these pretty earrings .. which I call as "Little Ms Sunshine"
Fresh water pearls with sunshine stone earrings

These earrings are made with chipped sunshine stones and high quality fresh water pearls .

Since they are not so lengthy ,the name "Little Ms Sunshine" suits it ideally

These earrings are made with acrylic beads beautifully blended with antique silver components .
Just like the season's bright colors ,these earrings have beautiful red tear drop shaped beads at the end which gives them an extra charm .

This pair of earrings is one of my favorite designs .

The world of Creators

Hi ,
I am Divvi , a working mom having some passion for art and craft . This is my one of my initial blogs .I just want to share about how I discovered the world of creative artisans - whom I call creators .

I must thank my good friend at work .She was the first one to introduce me to the art of making jewellery . She took me to a near by bead shop here in Melbourne. She showed me things - how to create new earrings.. I just addicted to it at once .

I started to research online and tried to learn as much as I can .I have found so many creative artists online .Their extensive talent is really amazing.Their imagination is just beyond description .They are so many inspiring artists around the world which I was never aware of .

They have just inspired me to have a small window where I can too show off my creations.
As a result of which ,I have opened my small online store where I have put up creations

http://Divvi.artfire.com is my online store.

Thanks to all those inspiring artists ..You guys are just wonderful!!
