Ideal Reciepe for good jewellery making!

Hi ,

I have been making jewellery from almost a year or so .I have been trying various things to make my jewelery more attractive ..In this process ,I learnt that by joining a few beads doesn't make jewelery stand out . There are some more things that we need to take care of before we make any stuff ..
1. Design : This is the most important part .A good design clearly stands out .Unique and distinctive design make it really attractive.

2. Color combination : Well ,this is what adds the little extra wow! factor to the handmade jewellery .A good color combination makes pieces really very appealing

3. Bead combination : One will be surprised when one tries makes jewellery with a perfect combination of different types of beads .Try combining pearls with glass or crystal bicones .You will be amazed with the look .This combination has been my favourite.

4. Extras : Ofcourse ,this is not mandatory to make the jewelery ,but if you add some metal spacer beads,bead caps , crystal rondelles etc definetly makes the jewelery really really attractive

Hope these tips are usefull .Try it and enjoy making jewelery ..I do love to make more and more of it !

More time please !!!

Hi guys ,

I am a full time working mom .Running around every day ,busy with my work , busy with kids ,busy with house hold work .I never noticed how the time flew past .My baby was a cute ,as little as I can ever imagine .Just yesterday she was tiny little baby ,today I see her to a be 5 yr old girl .

Just like all moms ,I too became too busy with my day to day work ,I did not notice my little angel grow up .I was amazed to see my kiddo to be speaking , and running and doing things all by herself .I feel so guilty of not spending much time with her .

I know it was all in my hands ,to manage my time .My mistake I totally admit . I really wish I could turn the time behind a little and see my kid do things which passed away in a blink of an eye.
I wish I could get more time in a day ,to spend some time with people who form the most important part of my world.
I wish God had created days with more hours than just 24 hrs .. may be he too was a bit busy !!!..

Christmas colors

Hi ,
Its Christmas time again -time for more fun,time for Santa ,time for colors of greens and reds and time for gifts .

The atmosphere is filled with festive air ,friends and family get together .. time to decorate Christmas tree ..with bells ,shells and charms ..

Time to bake a cake , get together for lunch and dinner ,spend time with family

Time for kids to hook up socks and hope Santa to come along and leave a gift by the tree...

Time to visit malls ,shopping and enjoy the Christmas decor in almost every store and every place



Time to take a break and have funs ... MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Fresh water pearl bracelet

Hi All ,


I have been making only earrings and cards .I wanted to make something different for a change .


So I did this bracelet out of fresh water pearls . After quite a few attempts , I could get a good picture like this one

The speciality of this bracelet is that I have used crystal studded toggle clasps. I found that exclusive toggle clasps online .It was amazing find .That makes this bracelet more more attractive.

I have made a few more and still in process of getting a good picture of them.When I do get good pics ..I will share it here

Handmade Handdrawan cards

Hi all ,

I had been trying out something new lately ..to make hand drawn cards..

Yes ,I learnt online many many techniques of making handmade greeting cards .One of them said "draw!"

I started making some sketches and used water color pencils to get a good finish .I have used the flowers as my theme which is my favourite and finished the cards with some glitter .

This is how my cards have come .

I enjoyed making them .It was a purely simple idea but effective technique.Try it ..

Wired UP!!!

Hi

I went to shop to buy a few beads from a local shop and I did see this person who made very nice ear shapes using the beadwires .Thought of making one too .. so immediately grabbed a gold wire from a shop nearby and started to make some shapes ..

I did not realise how hard it is .. The tension of wire was quite tough to make shapes ..

After a few days and weeks of practice ..I could create these pair of earring using the shapes





What do you guys think ??Not bad ..is it ?

Little Ms Sunshine

Hello again ..

I have been doing a lot of designing lately and trying to make some time to create those designs as well .

With the hectic days,I had very little time in which I was able to create these pretty earrings .. which I call as "Little Ms Sunshine"

These earrings are made with chipped sunshine stones and high quality fresh water pearls .

Since they are not so lengthy ,the name "Little Ms Sunshine" suits it ideally

White lady in pearls

Hi again ..
Last few days were extremely busy for me.I had too many things on my plate and I was very much occupied in clearing my "to do" list .
After such hectic days ,I have found some time to update my online store and I was able to showcase my newest creation,which I call "The White Lady"

These earrings are made of high grade precious fresh water pearls beautifully blended with gold sun dial.

The center piece is antique gold toned sun dial shaped metal piece and the bead caps are also antique gold toned.

Each earring contains 7 pearls which are about approximately 8mm in size.

These earrings are graceful ,charming ,glamarous and feminine in look and nature

Autumn Colors

The Autumn season has arrived in Melbourne.One can see bright oranges ,reds and browns in almost everywhere .Inspired with such good colors ,I have created these earrings

These earrings are made with acrylic beads beautifully blended with antique silver components .

Just like the season's bright colors ,these earrings have beautiful red tear drop shaped beads at the end which gives them an extra charm .

This pair of earrings is one of my favorite designs .

The world of Creators

Hi ,
I am Divvi , a working mom having some passion for art and craft . This is my one of my initial blogs .I just want to share about how I discovered the world of creative artisans - whom I call creators .

I must thank my good friend at work .She was the first one to introduce me to the art of making jewellery . She took me to a near by bead shop here in Melbourne. She showed me things - how to create new earrings.. I just addicted to it at once .

I started to research online and tried to learn as much as I can .I have found so many creative artists online .Their extensive talent is really amazing.Their imagination is just beyond description .They are so many inspiring artists around the world which I was never aware of .

They have just inspired me to have a small window where I can too show off my creations.
